SimStan is one of my summer projects for Berlin.

The basic idea: Let your friends run your life.

The experiment: Give my Facebook friends access to my calendar.

The catch: Every friend has these same privileges to edit my days. Leads to collaboration or chaos? Wikipedia or schizophrenia?

Publicity: For now, let's keep this a secret between friends... When we get a few kinks worked out, we can show the world what we're up to here.

Things to think about

• Calendars are usually kept very private. What happens when they are opened? (Diaries were private before blogs...)
• Will it feel constraining to be "following orders" all day? Or will it feel liberating, to wake each morning with a good day in front of me, with no effort on my part?
• Is running someone else's life fun (like The Sims), or work?
• Social media has given us transparency. Is vulnerability next? What happens when you grant your social network real power to change your life?

Where did this idea come from? More ramblings than you could ever want.
